We're Nate and Maureen, the husband-and-wife team behind Illini Turf & Tech, and we're excited to officially welcome you to our website and introduce you to what we're building.

When we first started learning about robotic lawn mowers, we quickly realized this was about much more than a cool piece of technology.

It was about time.

Time not spent mowing after work. Time back on the weekends. Time with your family. And for businesses and organizations, time employees can spend doing more valuable work instead of repeatedly mowing the same acres week after week.

That's what got our attention.

And it's ultimately why we started Illini Turf & Tech.

So, What Exactly Is a Robotic Mower?

Think about the convenience of a robotic vacuum—but for your lawn.

A robotic mower lives at your property, operates on a schedule, automatically mows designated areas of your lawn, and returns to its charging station when needed.

Instead of waiting until the grass gets long and spending several hours cutting it back down, robotic mowing allows the lawn to be maintained consistently throughout the week.

Less time mowing and more time enjoying your lawn.

Today's robotic mowing systems have also come a long way from the early systems many people may remember. Modern autonomous mowers can use advanced positioning, mapping, sensors and app-based controls to navigate a property without requiring the traditional buried boundary wire.

That technology opens the door to an entirely different approach to lawn care.

Why We Chose Navimow

After looking at the robotic mowing market, we chose to build our initial product offering around Segway Navimow.

Navimow offers robotic mowing options for a variety of residential properties, from smaller lawns to larger and more complex spaces. That allows us to look at the individual property rather than trying to make one mower work for everyone.

But choosing the mower is only part of the process.

Property size, slopes, obstacles, trees, signal conditions, charging-station placement and the layout of the lawn can all influence which system is appropriate and how well it performs. That's why our approach starts with understanding the property and matching the equipment to the actual mowing environment.

We're Not Interested in Just Selling You a Mower

This is probably the most important thing to know about Illini Turf & Tech.

We don't want to simply sell robotic mowers.

You can buy equipment online.

We want to provide something different.

Our goal is to help make autonomous mowing simple, approachable and dependable for people throughout Central Illinois.

That can mean helping you determine which mower makes sense for your property, professionally installing and mapping the system, helping you learn the app, and staying involved after installation.

Our professional installation process can include property assessment, charging-station setup, mapping, zones, schedules, testing and customer training.

And our relationship doesn't have to end after installation.

We're building Illini Turf & Tech around ongoing care—including seasonal inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, mapping and schedule support, winterization and seasonal startup services.

Because the technology should make your life easier—not become another thing you have to manage.

While we're incredibly excited about helping homeowners reclaim their weekends, our vision for Illini Turf & Tech goes much further.

We believe autonomous mowing has significant potential for businesses and organizations that maintain larger properties.
